Textual analysis
I always like to play Blizzard's game, and they are organizing the annual Blizzcon to tell the majority of players about their new games and some new content of the games, so I am interested on analyzing the blizzcon and Blizzard Entertainment website. I will analyze the site in four part, including structure, interface design, navigational and semiotic systems.
The Blizzcon website is divided into six parts, they are home, virtual ticket, event information, media, forum and official blizzcon 2015 esports English live streams. In home page we can see the Blizzcon ticket advertisement, we can click inside to have more information. Usually people who want to participate in Carnival tickets are priority issues, so this is very important and attract attention. In addition, there are some information about all the blizzard game competition in blizzcon, and entertainment programs. Cross-Column include the four parts,it can let all the audience find the relevant parts they need quickly. All contents are centre on the page, they have recent posts in the right, the viewer can know what is the latest published information immediately. After all information, there have a comment box, players and viewers can express different opinion, they have a communication space. In event information page, they have been classified in 5 parts, about blizzCon, ticket, timetable ,travel information and competition information. In media page,we can choose photo or wallpaper, under all the images, both have the date added in the page.In the forum,we can see all the news from blizzard on the top, we can discuss all the competition or all the opinion about the game in this page.
Spiral of Silence is talking about opinion expressed as dominant by mass media, interpersonal support for deviant opinion and amount of people not openly expressing deviant opinion and or chancing from deviant to dominant opinion. In forum we can see some people have opinions on some of the new game content, such as Rogue increase some different skills in the game, and you can see many comments are talking about Rogue.
The semiotic systems in the web are group by the style based on their functions, for example, the icon in the main menu are look like grooves on the stones.

And simple shapes for the common icons which help the web become not text-base

There are mainly two navigational systems on the web. They located on the Cross-Column and the footer, which are used for leading the users to different content of the Blizzcon and other services provided by Blizzard respectively. Moreover, the navigational system on the cross-column has more graphics design than the one on the footer. I think this is because the first one is really the content of the Blizzard. So, it should be more attractive to the users.
